Things are running smoothly with the stock making at this point, so all it comes down to is the amount of time is takes to apply the final fit and finish of the wood. But — what to do about the missing butt plate ? I’ll simply crank up my blacksmith forge and just hammer one out.
Sometimes the best way to obtain a part is to make it yourself.
Fitting up and final polishing of the butt plate before covering it too, in 24 KT gold plating to match the rest of the gun parts.
